Artist's statementMy clearest statement is the work itself. Having chosen to paint, or having the choice thrust upon me since my youth, it is through this medium that I speak best. The images that I paint haunt me, and ask to be resolved. They have been with me well before I consciously decided to become an artist. I use methods and revelations learned from painters that have come before me to assist in this task. Concepts such as form, light, color and space are what I believe constitute the art of painting. What interest me is finding a particular form, light, color and space, that create the sense that the painted image convinces the viewer that what they are looking at represents an authentic experience.
